Biography

Jason Lee Ward is a London-based DJ/Producer, born in Islington, North London. His musical journey began in 2008, when Jason’s dynamic DJ performances and music selection, made him a regular in London clubs, where he built a solid reputation with party-goers, and fellow DJs alike. He is known for his appreciation of deep, meaningful house music, among other forms of dance expression, including disco and jazz funk. Styles which are regularly incorporated into his performances. Jason’s main-room DJ appearances including Pacha (London), XOYO, Toffetti Space (Milano, Italy) , Proud 2 (02 Arena), Cable & Relay, Plan B, House & Terrace (now Studio 338), Club Colosseum, Dex Club (now The Prince of Wales) and more. Radio appearances include, Select UK, Mi-Soul Radio and House FM. Along with main-room features, Jason very much enjoys playing at smaller, more intimate venues, where he can express his appreciation for music to fellow enthusiasts.

In 2013, he focused on to developing his understanding and skills as a music producer. Motivated by learning, Jason achieved his first professional qualification in 2015, after graduating from Islington Music Workshop with merit, in Music Technology, HND levels 4&5. This led him to join London Metropolitan University, where he graduated with an upper second class (2:1) honours degree in BSc Music Technology.

As a producer, Jason has attracted the attention of world renowned, and heavy hitting underground house music record labels. Most notably, Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records, with his track ‘Lost in The Crowd’, invited onto the Traxsource number 1 album, ‘Madhouse Amsterdam 2015’. Purple Music have also welcomed him to their roster, with his track featured on the double CD compilation ‘Deep House Vol.2’, mixed by label boss Jamie Lewis. Jason has also had remix features on the classic house favourite, i! Records, and original tracks signed to Miguel Migs’s Salted Music, and the soulful house favourite Solid Ground Recordings.
